i just bought a 15" kicker l7, its in a custom box a guy made for me, but it doesnt seem that loud compared to my 2 12" rockford hx2's in a ported box, im not sure which i should use for the competition, i have a hifonics 1600 watt amp and a ma audio 1600 watt rms amp, |

as far as the suv just try the box you have and see how it does but I need to know how long and wide the port is to figure out the tuning but as of now without the port and sub you have a 4.32 cubic foot box if those are external measurements |

"i just bought a 15" kicker l7, its in a custom box a guy made for me, but it doesnt seem that loud compared to my 2 12" rockford hx2's in a ported box" I think it would be really helpful if you told us the voice coil configuration and how you wired it up. |

dual 2 ohm wired to 2 ohm on the hifonics amp putting out 1100 watts rms @ 2 ohm, the sub is getting plenty of power, and crazy excursion |

you can't wire a dual 2ohm sub to 2ohm on the amp. its either 4ohms or 1ohm. now if you have it wired at 4ohm then your sub is barely seeing power. |
