I put my DDC6.5's in, but I have been running them on an old Kicker IX402 (55w x2). Well, after driving to Longview, TX sunday and really listening to them w/ no subs connected...I LOVE them. Midbass is crazy, but I needed to tame the tweets alil. They were pretty dam loud on just 55w per side and running the passive XO's. So, yesterday I had a great idea. I called up Steve at DD and asked what amp he recommended to run for them active. I told him I had a C4a in stock and he OK'd that as the amp to go with. So now, I'm running the C4a active...And DAM. That's all I gotta say. I run my sub level down to -24 and the C4a keeps up VERY well. All I am running is the C4a, 2 20.1's, 3 3515's, and the DDc6.5's. Its great Rock sounds great on my EQ setting. I just have to go back in a listen to some rap and get my user EQ2 set for that. |

nice canaan. looks like you and nick are having some fun with active setups. p.rick, in an active setup, all the components have their own separate power. |
