alright guys, first of all special shout out to BRAD WARREN for recomending me sealed from day 1 and jake papa for bothering the hell out of me about it. lol.

i had the audiopulse revo 15 in a 3.6cuft net tuned to 32hz. it slammed.

but brad warren kept telling me seal the sub and i will like it better. i was very skeptical at first cause i didn't want to lose the output. i knew the sealed would sound better but i thought there would be big difference in output. well i was wrong. its almost as loud. i didn't change the gain. the output still great.

i tried out a few songs that i like, *cough steely dan *cough, and it plays way better.

i was wrong to think that this sub sounds better ported. when i first got this sub, i had it in a 1.8cuft net sealed and thats why i didn't like it. now that i have a good size sealed box, i am very happy with the sound.

its 3 cuft and with the sub displacement, its around 2.8cuft.

it was the box for my rl-s12. i had to make the cut out bigger. it barely fit but its cool. it was a b!tch cutting through 2 plys of mdf since the front baffle is double. lol.

jesse i have to retract my statement about jake porting it. lol. don't get me wrong, ported sounds awesome too. i mean awesome. but now its like you need a few diapers cause you will keep sh!tting your pants. lol.

Damnit, I need a box like that too! Shipping would suck big D though. Cheaper for me to build it but I don't have all that much time.

you can do it rob.

mike the revo hits down low great ported or sealed. with sealed though it plays very flat. i am still amazed at the output in a sealed box.

That's awesome that you like it. Is the over-all response of the sub any better?

well it is still louder ported but sealed it don't peak so yeah i would say so. i tried out some bass songs like da blow, young jeezy, get low, and stuff like that and it still hits hard.

the thing i didn't like about the ported box was it was peaking on alot of trance songs i listen to. the bass would just over power at certain frequencies. but with the sealed its perfect. it blends so good that it feels like one big speaker. lol.

If your XXX box is as good as it looks they shouldnt be too far behind the revo in sq. :-)

Chad i made up my mind at xmas im adding 2 more and doing 12cuft sealed with another mmats 3500.1. I might as well i dont have any room to put anything in the trunk anyways. I also have the electrical to do it PLUS hitting high 140s sealed would be absolutely insane.
