i just got a new head unit for my car and the guy at the store said i would need to buy a second wiring harness to plug it into my factory wiring harness.is this true? he also said installing it would be difficult but i dunno if hes just trying to get me to pay for their 65$ installation fee.

no headunits tough unless it has heater controls and air conditioner. u can do it as long as you feel confident enough to do some wiring. an adapter is the easiest way to go it will allow you to just plug your radio in and no wiring needed. it's like 15 or less the one you will prob be easiest to find is a harness made by a company called metra.
