Im getting a 2001 cavalier LS soon, and want to put a system in it. Everything is stock and i dont want to put a HO Alt in it. What is the biggest amp I could run on this. I believe it has a 105A alternator in it right now.

You can run a good 1000-1200 rms without an issue and not upgrade anything.

Like Kevin said and like i would say a good 1000-1200rms without upgradeing.

Ho alts and big 3 upgrade get expensive fast.

If you have no other aftermarket electricals running, you should be ok on 1200w, but no more.

Everything is original, No upgrades have been done to the car in terms of electrical. I dont plan on running over 1000rms right now anyways.

1000w is even pushing it but it should be ok. I've installed in several vehicles that that same size GM alt.

Somewhere around 600wrms should be fine with no upgrades and just running the correct gauge wire right. Also what gauge wire would I need? I plan to put the amp underneath the front passenger seat If I can. And if it wont fit I would need to place it in the trunk, what size should I get then?

4 gauge will work. You can always buy bigger wire if you plan on upgrading in the future, but with 4ga you still have a good amount of headroom.

What are you using this amp for?

If you need wire hit up a Paul Larrea, he is a great guy with great prices and should have most of what you need.
