Hi Folks, I hope that there is someone that can help me. The CD player on the factory deck of my 2001 cavalier quick on me so I went to a wreckers and bought a replacement deck. I took the original deck out and put in the replacement deck. When I turned the car on it worked for about 10 seconds and then stopped and LOC was displayed on the screen. I then heared about a code that is needed to unlock the deck. I can not find it on the deck itself. I then tried pressing 2 & 3 together for some time as indicated on another posting and nothing happened. Can anyone advise on how I get this code and once I have it, how do in enter it?
Thanks,

go back to the junk yard and look in the car it came out of. that car has the code located in the glove box, under the hood, fuse panel door, any of those its located there and thats the only way, codes are not universal, your only other thing to do is to call the dealer or put in a after market deck.
