Well the second parts right. Using a door as an enclosure for the midbass is exactly what you don't want to do....... Build an enclosure for it into the door, MDF, fiberglass, anything strong and make sure it's sealed. Difference in madbass output will be amazing. And 7" mid yikes..... thats gonna need a fairly big enclosure. |

Sealed enclosures are forgiving, you can go somewhat smaller and not lose much performance. But you will never be able to completely seal a door. Especially the weatherstrip under the window, nothing you can do about that. |

Then with enough time and money anythings possible. It will come down to how much work you want to put into it....... if you're gonna do SQ comp take your time and build a really good installation. |

With mids, almost any enclosure is better than free air. Example: Right now I have mids that specify a bit over 0.1 cu.ft. and I have them in about half that space, as that's all I could do. Midbass output is pretty decent for 5.25" speakers. They pretty much can't do below 200 hz well, but that is true of most speakers that size. I'm sure they would be slightly better in a bit more airspace, but I don't think it would be a huge difference. So what I'm getting at is, design the biggest enclosure you can and run with that. It probably won't be half bad. |

install is key, dynamat and nice wire.. don't skip the little things SQ is expensive, be warned.. and you will probably change up your gear quite often.. i've learned this also what deck are you going to run? i'd seriously suggest the eclipse 7200mkII i run the alpine cda-9887 with the imprint tuning kit.. its amazing but man that eclipse looks wicked |

Are you going the SQ route now instead of SPL or what bud? Cause last night, you were about to buy 2 DD9515's and now your talking about SQ. Regardless, congrats on the sponsorship bud. Hit me AIM later tonight |

"well i got all the sound deading covered already about 80 square foot per door, the far inside sheet metal, then inner part(where all the holes are on the door) and then the actual door panel all has plenty of deadner, the wires?" So you did 8-10 layers of dampener per door? Must have some pretty big doors... I think i used 80-90sqft on all 4 of my doors. Anyways, congrats on the speakers and put them in door or kick pods. |
