I currently have the stock 6x8 speakers installed both in the front and back... But I'd like to install some 6x9's and I would like your opinion on what 6x9's are the best on the market regardless of price

I would get an adapter and do 6.5" components. Skip the 6x9's. CDT has some very nice 6.5" sets. If interested, PM me and I can help you out.

X2, definetly use a 6.5" component set.
