my truck is an extended cab with the x cab already gutted out.i recently saw a truck like mine with a wall of 12 12's.i have some electrical upgrades such as an optima yellow top and a 200 amp alt.but i was told to run a 300-350 amp alt but where do i find one that big?i still have yet to do the big three though.i'm looking for the highest spl possible,i was considering doing a blow through design box but i dont want to lose the structural safety of my truck.i'm open to any suggestions.thanx! |

Personally, I would run 8 12's if you are going for a multi sub setup. That way you can run 4 on each amp. The Rd Classic 12's SVC 4 ohm version would work great on those amps. VERY efficient, clean, and get pretty loud. Kevin lowhz01@yahoo.com |

my budget depends on a few things.first i need to make up my mind on what size and how many i want to run.then i need to figure out which box to use(ported, sealed, bandpass,or a blowthrough)but to be honest im flexible on the price no matter which way i go,but i dont want to spend 1000 bucks per sub if thats what you're asking.i could i just dont want to because i still want to upgrade my indash dvd,add a center channel(which i'll have to fiberglass a pod for)and plus other cosmetic things and other maintenece issues with the truck! but like i said i'm open to suggestions.i just keeping changing my mind everyday on what subs, how many etc;i have 2 mtx 81001's already but i'm willing to get more if i need.and once again where can i get a 300-350 amp alternator for my truck? thanks again! |
