I just bought a Hifonics Brutus B15D2 15" Car Subwoofer ..and want to know what would be a good amp that will make it hit the hardest without damaging the sub....I wasn't a big fan of Hifonics until i heard my roommate blow 2 Kicker L7 12" subs away with 2 12" Hifoniks brutus subs.. Anyway let me know.. i wanna stay at or below $300.. |

Here you go!! B15D2 15-Inch MAXX Power = 1400 Watts RMS = 700 Watts DVC Imp/Ohms = 2+2 I wish I was lying about it though.. I didn't expect it either..I was there when they were competing..Im a bass head and I've played around with many different brands, but those Hifoniks sounded like I was in a tornadoe with all that bass ... |

What amp was on the Kickers? A KX 350.2 maybe? In all serious though, we have a special on RD 850.1's right now and That would give you 900 rms at 1 ohm, therefore a little headroom. Shoot me an email for more info. Kevin lowhz01@yahoo.com |

sorry for late response.. The guy had a Quantum Audio Cozmik series QCA4000D 4,000 watt mono-block amp.. i dont think the amp did those kickers justice... but like i said...i became a believer when i heard those brutus..thats why i copped a 15 myself to see what i can do with it... but since the sub is a DVC 2ohm ..u guys think i should run a 2ohm load config to get the most power?.. i was also looking at that hifonics bxi 1208d that julio was talking about.. |

your sub can only be wired at 1 or 4 ohms... 1 ohm amps are cheaper in the power range you need... so a bxi 1208d is your best choice. |

With Hifonics, XX = pretty good but over-rated Brutus = budget quality, and over-rated Everything else = crap, and (surprise) way over-rated |

M.S. question dude because nobody answered my post yet. I need a new amp to replace my Kicker ZR240 to power my 2 RF Punch HE's. They are 8ohm wired to 4ohm load and need 400rms to be powered. My picks so far are Soundstream, Earthquake, Phoenix Gold, US Amps, and Cadence. Any one that you would recommend. I would appreciate it being I have not had much experience with many of these names. |

US Amps would be the best of those by far as long as it's NOT the XT series. PG amps are pretty good. Cadence, Daytona series are good stay away from the other stuff. Not a big fan of SS amps, and earthquake amps are complete junk. |

rob you can also search for a Phoenix gold Xenon 400.1, hard to find but IMO a great choice. A cheaper option would be a 2 channel bridged. |
