the pioneer and the kicker subs that r really shallow. how do they sound. they hit hard at all or r they a joke. just wondering.

I heard some in a friends truck and they aren't that bad. I assume you have a truck? What's the max mounting depth?

If I were going to go with shallow mount subs I would go with the ones from RE Audio. Check them out at reaudio.com

I'd go with the new JL TW5s

But at $450 a piece...I couldnt afford them.

The CVTs (by Kicker) sound ok, nothing great SPL-wise
