I know this has been covered a little but couldnt find a good answer... I have one 12" alpine type R SWR 1242D

What would be a good amp to run this sub?

i have a audiobahn dub2502 for sale it does 500 rms bridged and i have a 12" type r also and it makes it hit hard its a good amp only $50 shipped.

on the type r's i have ran them and they are power hungry subs.. it wont hurt to go more rms than what they say. ive put up to 1100 watt rms to one. so really choose what you want to sound. and how hard u want it to hit

1000wrms is alot for a type-r. the most i would put on one is 1000rms. my friend has a 12"type-r on a kicker zx750.1, and it gets pretty loud

they are not power hungry but i suggest a good clean 600wrms @ 2ohms amp would be good

cadence txa1000d would do then. i run one with no complaints, and $199 shipped from cadence with 2 year warrenty is pretty good.
