I'm considering buyin the re sx12 (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4914) and i was jw what amp ya'll would reccommend. i'd prefer to stay in the 300-400$ range. Also, is there a sub you would recommend over the sx12 for a comprable price? thanks |

i have a brand new Hifonics bxi1606d amp for sale. never been opened or took out the box. i purchased it n just never used it. i currently own a kicker zx2500.1 and just never had use for the hifonics amp. i can sell it for 150 plus shipping. i can take pics too if you want. |

"the us amps xt4000d is only rated at like 1500rms i believe" and they do a whopping 900 rms (600 watts over rated) i remember seeing the owner confess to it on SSA here's another thread similar http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/showthread.php?t=47763 |

If your looking into RE SX also take a look at Fi BL. Ficaraudio.com That AQ1200D would be good for either of those subs. |

So its looking like the audioque 1200D is the most popular choice. summer work starts next week, hopefully i will order soon. i'm kind of a newb, is this going to sound decent for a first install? i really dont wanna spend all this money and then be super disappointed |

"is this going to sound decent for a first install? i really dont wanna spend all this money and then be super disappointed" 1200rms and a 15" FI BL would sound EXTREMELY nice for a first system. But make sure you build the correct box. One thing I wish I would have done about my first system is went really big on the amp. It is very easy to get hooked and then you will start craving more power than 1200, and then you have to sell the amp. I would go with an audioque 2200 first, and just keep the gains down to around ~1200rms until you want more. That way you will still have more power on hand |

Adam Do you have any friends/anybody that have systems in there rides. If so what do they have? You also might want to check out the AQ HDC3's AudioQue/RE=Really Good Products The install is VERY important do it right the first time. Build the box to spec for which ever sub you decide on. Good Luck |

Joey, i live in a small town, and the biggest system around is one of those little kicker sub/amp combos from circuit city. also i think i might go with the 15" FI BL, since its a lil cheaper . should i get any of the special options or leave it the way it is? and i'm getting the install done professionally as i have very little experience and my new truck has no wiring harness for the head unit. where would i get a box calculator and specs for the fi bl? thanks all for teh help |
