Yes, If the gains are not properly set, the amp will clip

Any amp can clip. Not to mention your HU can clip too.

Yup, the amp can and will clip if the gains arent properly set.

not possible, because subs don't clip. amplifiers clip.
however, your amp can and will clip as mentioned above, if the gains are set too high, or you lack sufficient current to sustain proper voltage rails for the amplifier due to an insufficient charging system in the car.
