i just installed a new DEH-P690UB, and so far everything is pretty cool. but i CAN NOT get the USB function to work at all. I have a western digital passport, 120 GB, and nothing i seem to try, actually gets the HU to sense it. everytime i connect it, it says "No device." So i tried formatting the drive from a NTFS file system, to a FAT32 file system, and i still get the same result. "no device." is there anyone who can help me with this? or at least, name a drive that has more compatibility with my HU? Pioneer doesnt even seem to have a recommendation. Any help would be appreciated. thanks. |

most of the units are made to run thumb drives not harddrives. the reason though is prob cause the head unit dosen't have enough power to power the harddrive up u will prob need to wire in a external power supply. |
