i just installed a new DEH-P690UB, and so far everything is pretty cool. but i CAN NOT get the USB function to work at all. I have a western digital passport, 120 GB, and nothing i seem to try, actually gets the HU to sense it. everytime i connect it, it says "No device." So i tried formatting the drive from a NTFS file system, to a FAT32 file system, and i still get the same result. "no device." is there anyone who can help me with this? or at least, name a drive that has more compatibility with my HU? Pioneer doesnt even seem to have a recommendation. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

most of the units are made to run thumb drives not harddrives. the reason though is prob cause the head unit dosen't have enough power to power the harddrive up u will prob need to wire in a external power supply.
