can i run a kx400.1 at 1 ohm without hurting it. i wont have it turned up high

No. How high you turn up the gain has nothing to do with what impedance the amp can handle. And that one is only 2 ohm stable.

i wouldn't try it, maybe with a higher model supplying all the current it needs
