Guys, I just bought a 2002 Yukon and the audio system sounds aweful. I want to replace the lot but know very little about in-car audio.

It looks as though I currently have (factory fit...) 2 speakers in each front door (Poss 6 3/4" plus tweeter), 6 3/4" in the rear doors, and further tweeters in the rear pillars in the trunk. Finally I have a nasty paper-cone sub in the back left pannel.

I assume therefore that I need 2 sets of component speakers and am looking at Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS for the front and Pioneer Premier TS-D720C in the rear with an amped ThunderForm 10" sub. I will probably also put a DEH-P7900BT deck up front.

I am not looking to blow the back window out with the noise, I just want a solid, high quality, bright sound.

Anyone used any of this kit and have any opinions about the above setup? Anyone know anything about the Yukon factory kit(sizes etc)? Budget is about $1000 and it looks achievable through sonicelectronix.

Cheers, Boycie
