right now i have my JL Audio 12W6 and a 16-mc500d memphis i know its a good amp and the sub too but i don;t know if i have it hooked up right and its not hitting like it should don't know if its the amp or speaker |

Thats only a 500 watt amp. Thats about 1/2 power to those subs. Are the subs dual 4 ohm? Cause that amp is rated at 2 ohms. So if you have the subs wired to 4 ohms then your only getting 1/4 power to the subs. |

Is the box sealed or ported? And specs?
Did you set the gain properly?
