Hey how are ya? I have a few questions to ask before purchasing the stuff I want to get for my car system.
So far, I am thinking about getting this:
Headunit : Alpine CDA-9833
Front door : Infinity Kappa 60.5cs
Rear deck : Sony XS-V1640H
subs : 2x Audiobahn AW1200Q
amplifier : ??
Ok, so my question is.. I am a little confused with amplifiers. Do I get a mono subwoofer amp, or a 2 channel amp? Would this amp be ok? Sony XM-DS1600P5 Would that power those subs enough? I don't want something CRAZY powerful, but good enough to make the subs hit pretty hard.. any suggestions ? Thanks. |

Ok well Ive just been reading around here and it seems that people don't really like audiobahn stuff.. so what else is out there that sounds pretty good and isn't that expensive? |

You got the right Idea for the head unit and front doors but the sonys need to go if you want a good system. Find some more infinitys for the back deck and for sub(s) try kicker CVRs 2+2 ohm voice coils and a JBL600.1 amp to push those subs. Here is the cheapest web site I have found to buy Kicker CVRs.

Yea, I really like infinity speakers, I had them in my 94 cherokee before I flipped it, they dont fit in the accord I got, but they sound totally awesome. Anyway, I only need the components in the front right , does it matter if I just get regular 6 1/2"'s in the rear deck? |

yes those are the subs to get. regular infinity 6 1/2 should do it for you. They will be ALOT better for you then sony. |

Get the kickers suggested. You wont like the Audiobahn, poor quality and bad sound. |

stick to the Infinity Kappas for the rear, too, or at least the Infinity Reference line.
sony is crap.
-subs : 2x Audiobahn AW1200Q
audiobahn isn't very good.
look at Kicker comp or compVR subs.
look at a mono amp for subs, and a 4 channel for front/rear. for inexpensive and good, look at JBL.

oh, and go with two single-coil 4 ohm subs, or in the case of the Kickers, a pair of dual coil 2+2 ohm subs (2 ohms per coil) for a mono sub amp.
that'll make a 2 ohm load for ideal power.

strange coming from someone who never heard audiobahn 1206t before....
u people see audiobahn and run, how about telling me what audiobahn sub you talking about!
and yes i have a jl 12w7/1500w powered by jl/1000 set-up as well. jl hit a little harder, but the Audio-b sq and hit is sweet |
