wow was putting sound back in my car when my indash started smoking and blew.
lol well i took it to the shop and he is going to get me a brand new one for a hundred, so im not that mad. but i know one thing. i messed up the electrical in my car. nothing will work without the key turned, doors wont even lock.sucks.

yea i said wow too...this was the worst thing i have even accomplished messing with car audio.lol
i thought blowing the orion was a big deal, but this took it to a whole new level. i mean i had everything running. indash was playing music installed and everything, then off went the music and smoke came. its a mystery.

your supposed to disconnect your ground when adding an amp or any type of stuff like that. atleast your car still runs.

wrong, you're supposed to disconnect your power wire, or pull the inline fuse.

But me personally i wouldn't want to disconnect my power wire from the battery without the ground disconnected from the battery.

always disconnect the negative from the batt. before any electrical work on a car.
you will blow fuses just removing and putting back on the positive.

F it take the damn Battery out comepleatly


The power fuse to my amps was removed i pulled the Power wire out the amp and it sparked How the F*CK it did that still gets me..... and yes power wire

Yeah why did none of your fuses catch that stuff???? did u have anyhting fused

disconnect the ground in the back that's hooked to the amps when you do this i found out the hard way when i went to disconnect my battery one time i accidentally started the car rofl without the key in the ignition

Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and current can't flow. Electrons move; protons are stuck in the nucleus.
