I have a 07 trailblazer with all stock audio. Im looking to add a pair of components up front and midbass in the back. i dont want a sub so i want the midbass. im looking into getting the alpine type x reference 6.5's up front and i need some help choosing the right set of midbaas. i will be using an amp to power the front speakers and another amp for the midbass. i dont want to go over $270 for a pair of midbass. also is there a difference between 6 1/2 midbass speakers and 6 1/2 component subwoofers?

subwoofers produce the sub-bass range (up to about 65hz, typically). midbass drivers produce the mid-bass range...65hz up to 130hz or so.

CDT M6's are great for midbass. if interested, PM me.

Are you dead-set on those Alpine's?

no that was just what i was looking at since im not adding a sub i want some good bass respone from my speakers. i have been looking into other but alpine is more my price range
