I would say that's his opinion of the genre. Quite an ignorant thing to say but I've stopped trying to open the minds of people who have their own locked down tight as their @ssholes.

I'm not sure you were representing hip hop so well though. If you want my honest opinion, it was mediocre and quite generic sounding. Again, that's my opinion.

Oh, I know you're not trying to represent hip hop but in making a song that would be considered hip hop, you are representing it.
Basically, it was the subject matter and the overall sound that I didn't like too much. It's all been done before.
Consider what you might be able to do differently than everyone else. You're a unique person so what can you do that others can't? I'll upload a PDF that is a basic guidebook for writing songs and creating hip hop.

I don't rap and I enjoyed it. It may be slightly overwhelming because it's geared more towards serious rappers who want to make a career out of it and I don't know if that's your thing but there are a bunch of sections that are good to read even if you're just playing around, having fun. There is a section on cypher games, which I really enjoyed. Lots on the different rhyme styles and stuff and ideas for when you're stuck. It's really good.
Idk if its just me but that link isnt working, but even if I follow those guidelines I wouldnt be doing anything new or creative. I woulst be following what everyone else has done.

That was a good track you sent me, but I didnt notice any type of "GO GO" style... It sounds like the average radio rap song. What is GO GO? and what do you mean by "U aint listening to the right stuff" (If that was even directed at me)?
Hey Kevin... The track sounds good and hits hard... I made a vid, but I dont think you will like it... The camera cannot handle the Bass... But it does move my subs alright... The bass is not low enough to get max excursion but it is loud in person. I will send you a link in a few.. hope it helps
Yeah the quality of the video could be better, but your never going to capture what it is like in real life. Thanks for showing interest anyway. Im glad to see that you seem to enjoy the song.
Well I had a listen in my better sq vehicle.. The only complaint of this track is that the vocals are a little too garbled. other than that it is a decent track.. l8r
Well, I think who ever sings the Hook should sing, (not talk) the whole song. It sounds like a karioke mix tape where any one standing around jumps in and has a turn. And it is very hard to understand most lyrics, except the Hook talking guy. And you need more hook, and it seems to run out of steam towards the end. But its cool you have a hobby. And thanks about the dog. hes a good one.
It sound good but not a big fan of chopped or screwed you should check out these 2 there good at what they doing and there members also have there own projects 2

prob just chop half of it . No turntables right now but this old belt-driven one that I never found out hwo to put the belt back on (think its stretched though) and a real nice but old pioneer.. sold my numarks.. waiting on new cdj's monday
