is it safe to run them at 1 ohm?

I wouldn't run it at 1 daily. It could or it couldn't blow. I wouldn't take the risk. I am, however, probably going to run one at 1.5 ohms  |

i have an ssx15 with dual 1s. i plan on putting a 2500.1 on it.
i guess i was just searching and wondering. |

i ran mine 1 ohm always....
they can do 0.5 ohms daily if your carefull or 0.5 at burps but 1 ohms they will do it daily with no problems at all |

I've heard of them getting messed up like that. I'd really get a different amp, or different coils. |

well i run both me ZX1000.1's daily, and let me say they have not gotten the least bit warm yet, no problems or nuttin so i would think its safe, but the question is do you have the charging system to back it up? |

^ yea D-Money im running a HDC315 off the zx1000.1, i bout it off ebay refurb and i have not had a problem with it once, had it for 6 months now. They do not get warm at all even from bumpin all day long. haha |

I didn't know you had dual 1 coils... You can't run a 1 ohm load to that SSX anyways. Get the Kicker. |

i am going have the ssx on it which has dual 1s.
but when i get the amp...i will also want to test my btl on it. my btl is dual 2.
i dont have the charging yet but i will prior to installing that equipment.
i am holding off on buying an alt because i am debating on whether or not i should keep my car. i dont want a trunk anymore but i dont really want something that gets 14 mpg either. |
