well, i think it was more like a "most ppl don't put more than this to em" than a "that's the max rms to put on em"...but either way, going with a different setup anyways. ^ @ j noel |

use the money you saved and have woodlawn cabintery make you a custom box to the specs of the sub. the box makes all the difference man. you could have the best subs but if your box sucks your subs dont mean sh*t. dont buy a box off ebay haha |

dont put that much on the r. they get pleanty loud for you with 500 each. trust me i had em. if this is your first system you dont wanna put that much over the rms on your subs because chances are you'll mess em up. if i were you i would put like 600-700 rms each to em. |

If your vehicle doesnt have a volt meter, I would seriously get one. Thats alot of power on a stock electrical (assuming you have no electrical upgrades). What kind of vehicle is this going into? |

Repen, I would recommend getting a volt meter if you car doesnt have on already. 1200+ watts is a good strain on stock electrical. If you pull too much power and dont know it, you could easily fry an amp. Also, consider what josh said about a box. A sub is only as good as the box it goes into. A good custom box can be 3x as loud as a bad box. |

what vehicle do you have repen/gunner? And getting a custom enclosure will cost you, but be worth it. And a Type R that gets 500wmrs vs. 700wmrs wont be that noticable. But it will increase your chance of it being blown. I recommend FisherCustoms for the box...$160 for 3.5 cubes (thats what ctmike recommended). http://fishercustoms.com/ |
