this is where i got tonight. its very cold out and i didnt feel like going back out to cut the circles with the router. so tommrow i shall do that and finish her up. Plans(inverted color showed up better)
Terminal cups i am thinking of using
1.25" dowel for bracing
Circle jig test
all of the peices that fit between the top and bottom
the top and bottom
Progress as of tonight(front baffel is not connected yet just balanced)
should be done with construction tommrow then i will mostlikely try to cover her with vinal. any tips or instructions on doing so? |

you can use the terminal cups but you dont need too ...I like the idea of just wires through the box now (not through the port ever thats just lazy and looks bad)... no small connections to mess with that way... plus you dont have to spend money on buying terminal cups |

Terminal cups add resistance on the line and sometimes they leak. I would never use them. Nothing beats a direct wire connection. |

true that rob. but i used a terminal cup on my new box for convinience. i used that foam tape stuff and lined it before i installed it. also since i am only running 1000wrms i felt that it was ok. when i used to run more power, i would just run the cables straight. |

these cups already have foam gaskets and will also be gorilla glued and caulked the ensure no leaks. only reason im considering them is cus i got them for free . turns out i know someone who works at the stereo shop lol. |

Here they are. let me know what you think. Home made circle jig works awesome
see what i mean 1.25" dowel braces
port came up an 1/8" short but that only equates to 1.5 sqin small. i still got 61 inches of port
SX's have a nice large home now!

on the terminal cup thing.. anytime ive used them after i put them in and soldered on the wires.. i fiberglassed right over it.. wires won't come off and it won't leak or become a weak spot in the box.. just a lotta trouble vs just using bolts or running wires direct box looks looks good tho.. what amp will be powering them |

just mounted my new soung magus cp91 amp to the underside of my decklid and wow running wires in the cold couldnt be more of a b1tch! came out looking great but it was deffinately a pain in the azz. big three is going to be very interesting . once i get everything up and running and put my car back together i will take pics of my whole system and install and take some vids and post em up in a new thread. then once i get my alt and big three done i can finally let you guys hear MY secret song lol. everything is finally coming along. I should have all the audio components installed tommrow. alt and big 3 should be done in a few weeks or maybe months the way school has been lately but it should deffinately be totally completed in mid april when i get off from school agian. |
