whats a good batt to replace stock one.
need top and side posts:
length 9"
height7"
width7"
what is the approx. max rms wattage I would be able to run w/ a 170amp/70idle alt., big 3, new batt.? |

I have that battery, and it has a great amount of power for it's size. (it's MUCH heavier than a stock battery also)
I'd say you could run ~2000w comfortably on a 170 amp alt and that battery. |

^^That batt is a little bigger than the stock one. I'm going to measure to see if I can go a little bigger but I doubt I can.
Any suggestions on smaller?
Someone from this forum told me Deka has good batts., any had experience with these?
Is Optima good? |

FYI batteries are measured by group size........ is this a GM vehicle with a stock batttery slightly smaller than the odyssey? If so it will be tight but it will fit. |

I had to "modify" the battery tray (involved removing it using a hammer on it  ) to make mine fit. |

No, its a mitsu evo. I cant fit any bigger cuz my intake and all my piping is in the way. |

cant, I already got like 8 wires hooked up to the batt. 5 of which are connected to a big azz fuse terminal. Plus the side that the side terminals are on has room, its really just the length and height that cant change |

Does the stock battery have side posts? If not, you're not going to get an aftermarket one with it. |

No side terminals already. That sux to hear.

Yeah, its pretty cool. I just put 3" TBE on it and got the ECU re-mapped ;) |

You will find a way to make everything fit...... how many wires can you have........
Heres mine with dual terminals:
The factory wiring is on the side terminals. On the top terminals there are: power wire for component amp, power and ground wires for sub amp, and + and - big 3 wires. |

if you want it bad enough you'll find a way to make it fit. sorry i'm being so harsh about it. you probably could just modify the batt tray to accept a larger size.

Nice work man. what you use to crimp those terminals on the 1/0 wire? the hammer trick don't work to good. they pull off when you crimp with the hammer. so i guess i'll crimp 'em and solder too. but nice work on the batt. |

Lol, you need to drink more milk if you can't hammer a terminal on. The only problem is then you have a very WIDE and flat terminal. Try using a metal block or plate under the wire and terminal before you hammer it. |
