I just got 2 12" (350WRMS picasso) soundstream subs.
What amp(or amp specifications) would you recommend would work best on thees subs.
I'm looking for somthing resonably priced.
And also wanted to know what is the difference between a 4ch, a 2ch and a mono amp when having 2 subs connected? which is the best option or is it the same?
thanks!

a 2 ch that bridges to ~800w at 4 ohms would work fine too. The advantage a mono would give you is that most of them are class D, which makes them more efficient than a typical 2 channel that is class a/b.

The Hifonics bxi1206d will give you around 1000w at 1 ohm - you can find them for around 200.
The Lanzar Opti1400D would work well - it's $219 shipped at allaudioexpo.com

Here's a decent 2 ch that should give you around 700w - $180 shipped -- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9177_Clif+Designs+CD6.2LE.html

If you go much cheaper than that you really start rolling the dice on reliability.
