i installed 2 tweeters and 2 6x9 speakers to my 2 channel amp but the tweeters are overbearing. how can i cut their volume. i know very little so if someone could be very specific on the connecting and wiring, that would be appreciated.

I really dont know much about anything, but maybe you could try just running the tweeters off of your receiver instead of the amp. Im sure that would cut down on their overbearing nature, yet keep them loud enough to be noticed.
