What do you mean amp tuned all the way up? That sounds bad...

To answer your initial question, you may as well port those.

The gain all the way up! turn it down. Its not a volume control. Its a control to match the preout voltage of your Head Unit.

comedy
..
.
lol
.
for newb style go with a sealed box, just cuz its easier to make and you don't seem like you know exactly what you want outta the system, so if you want ports you can always cut them in later.

that is, if you plan to build it.

there are other issues here that catch my eye, but being somewhat of a newb myself I don't feel I would be the right person to skool ya.

hope you have receipts, lol, good luck.

"if you want ports you can always cut them in later"

How do you propose that?

That's all I could think of. But even then, there would be a little extra planning involved.

Well in my first post I answered that question.

However, we need to know how big the enclosures are and what the ported one is tuned to if you already have them.

I was assuming that he wouldn't care about tuning, that's a quality issue and he doesn't seem to be overly concerned with quality. Cut some round holes and drop in some plastic...

personally, since u have both boxes already I would just try em both and keep whatever sounds better.
