This could be a good thread. Let's not trash it. The key is YOUR favorite. No matter what your definition, it doesn't matter. One person likes SPL, one like SQ, but what's your favorite woofer...for yourself. My favorite thus far in my experience is the SoundSplinter RL-i |

My favorite pair. And I'm not hoisting them up on my shoulder either. Mainly because I only have one of them anymore and the other is because it's in its' box.
Oh yeah, and also I have no one else to hold the camera lol. |

I'm J/K My Mojo's Kick!!!! Out of most systems I've done and Installed, for only 1500 watts with 3.44 cuft ported, tuned at 38 they sound great!!! as you can tell by my 5 videos on youtube "I like my MOJO'S!!!!" I do admit I don't have any experience with Arsenal or crystal complex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNE38BpG-pY |

"i love my JL 10w3v2 perfect mix of spl and sq and doesn't require a lot of power. i'm too poor for power " Lol. I never knew those even had decent SPL. A perfect mix of SPL and SQ would be SQL and those subs are nowhere near real SQL subs IMO, just about any and everyone else will agree. |

No doubt the LMS ULTRA. Secondly, the DD 9515, SS RLS, AA Havoc, SI Mag and Kicker Solo X. In that order. |

Rob - Well i didn't really want to say sql, because realize they are almost strictly sq subs... that being said though, they get decently loud if you give them around 400wrms. they don't even compare to other spl based woofers, but in my hatchback, they definatley get loud enough for me. although i would kill to get my hands on some true spl based subs.. but like i said. way too poor for that.. lol. |

As long as you're happy with it why bother upgrading? Of course it's hard to go by this when people get addicted to getting loud |

18" BTLs and BLs are exactly what I'm talking about. Great on music and plenty loud. The setup can make any sub sound good, or crappy though. I'm completely satisfied with my BTLs. |

@msrq "ya when you get addicted to getting loud, you will want to keep upgrading even what you already have is loud, thats audiophiles, but will spend too much money which is not good" Totally man! I've gone from subs: Type S, Type R, Premier SPL, and now Elite SPL V.2. Amps: 300rms rockford, 700rms Xplod, 2,000rms Helix,2,500rms Exile (x2), 3,000rms Earthquake and now 6,000rms RD. I'm going to be building my 3rd box soon as well. It's nuts but I love it! |
