I saw an add for an alpine mrd-m1005 and a pair of eclipse subs SW7104 for $350. I've been wanting this amp for a while... but are the subs even any good? I dont hear much about eclipse... If this setup is worth while, I could probably get it for $300 |

Eclipse has some really nice stuff. I don't know about those subs in particular, but they lean more towards sq as a company. |

I have a couple older Eclipse amps that I really like. My buddy runs 2 SW6200 12s sealed and they sound very good. I like the headunits and most Eclipse products in general. |

I think its the SW6000 series that had the Linear motor tech. I would love to have a pair of those. |

You think those subes would be worth my money though? Or maybe pick up the amp, and wait for the perfect deal for w6s to show up on craigslist lol. |

i think it is worth it...Figure the amp could run you any where from 150-225 used means you are getting those subs for pretty cheap. I would think those subs are pretty descent for that cheap of a price. First, I would ask him what he wants for his amp alone and weigh your options that way. |

Well he is selling the amp alone... 200 for the amp, and 150 for the subs. |

I've seen some used w6's goin for as low as $300. I almost got a pair of 12"s from a guy for $275... he was desprate for money to pay some bills, but ended up not willing to meet me halfway... he lives like 4hrs away. |

^ Yeah, h/u wise they have some very nice units, their gps systems are pretty top notch. A guy I worked with bought their $2000+ top model double din just to not like it a month later because of the ipod interface. It took him a few days to hook it all up with all the features lol, but other than the ipod thing he was happy with it. |
