I'm pretty sure that the eclipse is better, but if you would try to clear that up for me. but i don't know the costs diff is between the 2 and if paying a little more for one is worth the extra cash. |

the Alpine has the phantom face, and a better tuner if you live in fringe reception for radio stations. The eclipse has better line voltages, and at least as many features. both sell for $600 both are good units.

depends on your amps ...but at this price range with nearly even specs&performances, I would take the freedom of choosing by design |

i would go with the eclipse. i have owned 2 hu from them, and both are awsome. no skipping, great clarity, user friendly and looks are fantastic. alpine is one of the best, but sometimes i think they tend to offer too much and are confusing to use. the eclipse is so easy and sounds better then any alpine. |
