Those amps are also very highly efficient, thats why they cost so damn much.

I would hope they where better....the slash came out years ago...those alpines came out at the beginning of the year i think...so there just now catching up...makes u wonder what JL is working on right now..

JL recently released the slash series V2. Same specs as the originals, I'm guessing they just upgraded the components used.

yeah thats what i read...that the "R.I.P.S" is the key upgrade over the v1's but nothing major...I heard something about a 2000watt JL amp in the near future

The cooling improvements were also major. Nice amps but they priced themselves out of the game IMO.
