alright guys. your boy chad needs some answers. kx is going for 500 bux on ebay. i can get the zx for $650 new from a shop. anyone have experience with both? what makes zx2500 better than the kx2500? you think its worth the 100 bux difference? zac i know this should go in the amp section but all my good buds hang out in the sub section. |

Only difference between the KX and ZX series is what impedance they are optimized for. They are both great quality. KXs for 1 ohm ZXs for 2 ohm Except the 2500.1 are both 2 ohm. As far as I know, there's no reason to get one over the other. |

Okay I'm confused. $500 vs $650. Where do you see $100 difference?? As for Zac, don't worry about him, he's hardly ever here. |

If you download the manuals from Kicker's website, there are some small differences. It is however very minor. For example, the SN for KX is 85db, and ZX is 95db. The ZX also has some new features. Other than that, it's almost identical. If I were you, I'd get the ZX cause it has better warranty, meaning it's a place where you can walk in. |

Then ask them why the manuals report slightly different numbers & features? |

Here is the scoop, the KX is a better amp, ZX is cheaper and shittier looking. They both are 2ohm stable, BUT running them into a lower owm is futile, they use protection circuitry limiting there output current, you would only gain a couple hundred extra, not really worth it especially when the byproduct is mostly heat. Mentioning heat, the KX has a cooling fan and the ZX does not, don't quote me on that though but pretty sure (know for fact ZX does not have one). IMHO get the KX... Polo. |

im going to have to agree with polo ... the other tihng i realized with the kx was its ability to excel under stated impedance ... competitors have ran the kx at .5 and under for elongated burps with the positive results never seen anything of that nature with the zx |
