I have a 300 amp alternator from excessive amperage for the 3.4 L chevy engine that I had in my 98 buick lesabre. This alternator should fit all the cars with the 3.4 L engine in it, including many different models. I dont have a pic now, but it looks like a beefy alternator. I will supply a pic if someone makes a reasonable offer or if I get time. Im looking for at least a couple hundred

You sure thats a direct bolt it? Looks like a CS144 aka large case alt....... usually the rear mounting bracket doesn't fit tight on cars that don't come with that alt?

Ok for one thing that car uses a CS130D alternator.

For another, alternators are not as interchangable as you guys think........ even some that would physically fit could have the wrong electronics built in.

What I'm getting at, is that alt won't fit every car with a 3.4L engine.

Heres one that would fit that Grand Am:

Nice deal, if it works for your car.

btw, even same model, engine vary from year to year.
Example. I had a new alt in my 2000 dodge van, and I put a new one in my 2001 dodge van. Same 3.9 engine, but difffrent alts. Plug in is diffrent as well as the ring terminals. I had to do some mods to get it in there, cause I have a life time on the 2000 alt and made it work in the 2001 with mods. So now my 2001 has a life time warranty.

Marcs example is a good one, but sometimes even 2 alts that look exactly the same still do not have the same electronics built in.
