I have been looking for some 6.5 for my tundra truck. eclipse,jl,kicker,polk and memphis who i never herd of. i was very impressed with the memphis.any feedback on them? good,bad,? will they hold up to long periods of power driven use? |

memphis is not a bad company at all. get whatever your ears like best. dont ignore the smaller, lesser known companies such as focal, diamond, morel, dynaudio, CDT, rainbow, DLS, etc, though. many of these companies put out top of the line components. what are your listening tastes and what is your budget? |

A shop up my way sells them and most of their lines were good. Nothing really sticks out about them but they are solid performing sets. They typically are more known for amps and subs which they do pretty well. If you like the Memphis sets than any of the companies listed above would suit you. Companies like CDT, Rainbow, Morel and Diamond are lesser known companies because they choose not to go the mass media market not because they don't offer great products; so you'll find some exceptional speakers from the,. |

Thanks for all of the input on my 6.5 speaker quest. well i looked and listen to all brands i"m sold on the diamond D661S loud clear clean. thanks, when installed will post feedback. anyone looking for 4 kicker 6x8? |

I have a memphis ST1000D amp and Memphis 6x9's. Memphis is very very high end stuff and I have used their products for the past 5 years. Never had a problem. They are big out here on the west coast and you can only get them at select places. Go to Ebay and see how many memphis amps you can buy? Mabye 2 or three because nobody wants to sell them after they get them. Good question. Great brand! |

I also have had a pair of the 6.5 Memphis also. Very nice SQ and they get loud also (LSQ). |

WELL THANKS FOR ALL OF THE FEEDBACK ON MY QUEST FOR SPEAKERS FOR MY TUNDRA OR AS I NOW CALL IT MY THUNDRA.AFTER CHECKING OUT ALL OF THE SPEAKERS PEOPLE LISTED ON THIS THREAD I WENT WITH THE DIAMOND COMP. FOR THE FROUNT AND THE TWO WAY DIAMONDS FOR THE BACK ITS A ROLLING CONCERT HALL NOW. SOUNDS CLEAN,LOUD AND CLEAR. lol yea i wouldn't say they are ver very high end. theres alot of it on ebay because there aer so many people like nick that think its the best. same with jl audio its all over ebay because its one of the few brands that people just entering audio know about. so what do newbies do? go to ebay and look for memphis and jl.
im not sating memphis is sh!t. they make a good product but shouldnt be described as "very very high end" lol |
