i got my self some focal polyglass 165 v2 wired up to my head unit but there is quite a bit of distortion when i turn it up. if i put a 75rms amp would this stop it or make it worse? thanks

it will make it better but you also need to use a high pass crossover either one built in your HU or one on the amp and set it around 70hz to cut off the low bass from getting to the speakers.
