For overall less distortion with rap music and music with high bass distorting on 6x9's, is it better to go with 4 6.5s instead with coaxial speakers? Ive got a 2000 honda accord so how would i fit the 6.5's in the 6x9 slots? also, how are the Alpine Type-R's? what would be a good amp to run with those speakers with no subs and what size? |

Yes, it would be better to run 6.5's in the place of 6x9's. There are speaker adapters that you can buy to make them fit. The Alpine Type-R's are very good subs for their price range. A lot of people like them. Can't say I really know what your talking about here: "what would be a good amp to run with those speakers with no subs and what size?" If your talking about your 6.5 speakers, then we'd need to know what the RMS is on them. |

sorry for the confusion. I wont be running any subs, just speakers with an amp eventually. How would the sound be different with 4 6.5's compared to 6x9s? If I were to run the Alpine Type R speakers with no amp, how would they sound? With an amp? The speakers are around 120 RMS so what would be a good amp to run? |

Run some components up front and some 6.5 midbass drivers in the rear with the proper speaker adapters. Run them off an amp that puts out about 150rms. Also sound deaden the door and rear deck pretty well. |

ok........For a mild setup, what would be recommended? The most that will be added to this setup will be a 100W amp in the future. Polk Momo components 6.5 front and back or....... Alpine Type R 6x9 rear and 6.5 front will the MOMO's give me a better quality bass than the Alpine's? |
