All I can say is wow... I recieved my kicker wiring from UPS today to find that it is way thinker than the JL wire than im using for my alt. Kicker don't mess around when making 1/0 wiring!

Kicker wire is great, but it shouldn't be that much different from the JL. Is there actually more copper or is the rubber jacket just thicker?

Kicker Hyperflex is silver-tinned copper and that's probably what is making it look so much thicker than the JL wiring. The casing is also pretty thick on the Kicker wiring but it's flexibility is what I love.If I start a new project I'll be running all Hyperflex wiring and multiple runs of it,probably something like 6 runs ;) That's IF!No promises but I have something coming down the line, possibly.
