so this has probably been discussed to death but when i search for a realated thread Explorer craps out so.....

what situations would you use a Capacitor in, i know it useless if you're running a big system on a small Alt and standard battery but if you upgrade it the two of them, why would you need a resovoir of power?

It all depends on how much power you're running.If you have an alternator that can charge everything up fast enough a cap that's fully charged up between peaks in music can help.It will smoothen out the voltage to make everything more consistent.
