Is Raptor speaker wire any good and also would it be a good idea to change my JL subs wiring from 14g to 12g ? Does it really matter

from 14 to 12 wont make a difference..but if you're thinking about it go ahead and upgrade to 8 ga....and i cant comment on Raptor but speaker wire is pretty standard IMO. i've never heard anyone complain about it but remember you'll probly get what u pay for

IIRC, Raptor wire is undersized.

I think the 12ga is really like 14ga.

(I may be thinking of XXXwire though)

Unless you are running outrageous amounts of power, 14ga is fine.

yeah wires aren't standard, some aren't true to the ga stated..as canaan said, they are undersized usually.
