You guys are probably sick of questions but I need some help.
Got a great deal on an odd sub. Audiobahn ALUM10Q 10". It's a dual 6ohm voice coil with 800watt RMS rating (probably overated) and 1600watt max.
I need a budget amp that will power 1 of these in a bandpass or sealed box in a trunk. Possibly 2 eventually if one 10" won't bump enough.
So far I've been lookin at these refurbished amps:

Would 1 10" be decent at these levels or do you guys think I'll have to resort to two? |

u should look for some kicker refurbed amps as well ..... |

Oh, I was asking for advice on which brands are good and true to their ratings. Refurbs are a good idea, thanks for the advice.
I wound up buying a Directed d2400 refurbished. Funny you mention the kicker, I almost got the kicker 750 refurbished but I saw that it wouldn't run at 1ohm if I wanted to run 2 of these wierd 6 ohm DVC subs.
I'll see if this Directed does anywhere near it's advertised 800watt RMS @ 2ohm  |
