i have 2 2ohm dvc 12" L7s.. i also have a rockford fosgate x7 type rf amp n it keeps going into protection mode if i turn the gain up at all or if i turn the volume up a quarter of the way.. anybody kno how i can fix this? any help would be appreciated..thnx |

how are the subs wired, and whats the min. ohm load for the amp? |

"the amp is 2 ohm stable, maybe he wired it at 0.5 ohms:S" That would explain the protection light. To tell the truth I cant believe that amp will even turn on @ 0.5 ohms. The only way to run this amp would be to parallel the 2 subs @ 1 ohm then to run them in series. Or he can run them in series to get 4 ohms then parallel to 2 ohms. |
