A few days ago some @ss hole smashed my rear window and glass shards got all over my 6x9 MB Quart speakers. Now when it hits, the speakers makes a loud crackling noise. I cleaned off as much as I could, but the sound still exists. Anyone know how I could fix my problem? |

well, when the glass shattered, some shards were somehow able to get inside the driver. So all I did was disconnect the speaker and gently moved the cone up and down until I heard most of the glass shards go away. The only way to truely get them all out would be to have it repaired (someone take it apart). Right now the speakers only make come crackling noise when there is a low note but, once I get my SE's in my car, I won't hear that at all |
