Just an update as I told some people I'd keep them posted about my excessive amperage alternator. It's still running just as new and voltage's even higher now that I replaced my old battery.

It was 180A for about $350 shipped.

will it put out more that 180? how much do you think a 300 amp would cost? i sent a price qoute but i wont get a response for a couple days

Iraggi qouted me $599 for a 300 amp alt, large case.. 2001 Bonneville(3.8 v6). Havent checked EA yet, but probably close to the same.

Josh, look into DB electrical. I'm running one of their 200 amp alts. Was $220 shipped.

Matt, we've been over this...alts for Japanese cars are more expensive. If I had an american car, I'd probably get it for even less than that.

ya I think my 300 amp from EA was about 300$ or a bit more, but now I got a new car.... so I might try to sell it on here, its a common engine- the chevy 3.8l
