Which Amp Would be a better choice for powering a 1200 Watt system? Hifonics BXi 1606D: 1600 Watts @1ohm Ed NINe.1: 1200 Watts @1ohm MA Audio HK1998: 1200 Watts @1ohm Orion HCCA-D2400: 1200 Watts @1ohm Can't really find anything else...If there's something you know that would be better for around $300 please let me know. |

I'd go with Orion first, then the rest. |

the only question I have about the Hifonics is that does it really put out what it's rated? I've been hearing that the new line of amps arn't putting out whats rated so I don't know if it would stand up to my subs which would be 2 RE SE at 600 Watts RMS each. |

There are 2 Hifonics 1200 watt amps going for a very cheap price on caraudio.com you should use the search feature and you'll find them fast. That's what I would do if I were looking into a small system for cheap. |

yamaharider all those amps are 1 ohm stable. Any of those amps will be fine for what you are doing as long as you get the ohm load right.I would go with the orion over anything else on that list then the ED NINe Heres what I just bought and its rock solid. http://cgi.ebay.com/PLANET-AUDIO-1250-WATT-CLASS-D-MONOBLOCK-AMPLIFIER_W0QQitemZ 190154063771QQihZ009QQcategoryZ64570QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Zed audio quality at its best. If you look around you can find some good quality stuff pretty cheap. Don't get in a hurry and buy the first thing you see. |

"Don't get in a hurry and buy the first thing you see." Ya, I know what you mean. I looked around for 3 months before I desided what subs to buy which I just got yesterday . I really like the Orion amp and I found it for $299 on sonic, brand new so I think I might grab one of those. |
