any one know what a phase shifter does?? cus my neighbor asked me if i wanted to buy a audiobahn phase shifter for 30 bucks it was brand new..... |

The phase shift switch allows you to select 0 or 180 degrees. The phase shift switch can be used to prevent phase cancellation of low frequencies that are output by the subwoofer. Matching the phase of your subwoofers with the phase of other speakers in your system ensures bass response does not suffer due to phase cancellation. |

It could make it sound better depending on some things like the response of your system and what enclosure you are using on your subs. |

It could add spl to your score .....my bro has a phase shift on his headunit and it increased our spl. (We tested with our spl meter) |
