I had a set of Diamond M5 series but one of the midrange drivers is bad. I was looking into replacing the set with maybe Rainbow, CDT or something else nice in my budget. However, something was mentioned on a thread and wondering if I can make it work okay. Since the tweets and crossovers work fine, can I just buy a nice 6.5' driver that can match them?
The crossover is a Diamond M56.1 but I would have no idea what to look for in a midrange in order to make this work.
Any suggestions?

well it depends on the crossover frequencies really. yeah you can do it and make it work. but if you can find the crossover freq. and post them it will be easyer to point you in the right direction for a mid.
