Are they really that bad? I got a pair of 6x9's for free and wondering if they are worth installing. I know many of you say 6x9's aren't worth it so I am confused.

I would say 6x9's are worth it... if you got them for free. I think they just mean it's not worth it to search for a good pair of 6x9's... I mean, above all I would go with a nice pair of components instead.

i got a pair of 6x9's that came with my new car and they are great for running off a high powered head unit

i took those pioneers out and put in my infinitys with an amplifier

because i have my infinities underpowered by half the whole install of the infinities and the amp was really a waste of time

once i put in an amp that matches or exceeds the infinity rms power then the hassle of swapping out the speakers will be worth it

but until then the infinities are just slightly louder then the pioneers
