I have used JBL and have really enjoyed them. I have been looking to upgrade to JL, MB Quart, or Focal. |

Ive got MB Quart speakers in my car (5.25 and 6x9). Great SQ even when it gets loud and has a pretty decent amount of bass to them.
As far as 6x8 or 6" speakers go, i'd look around for some 6" speakers. Should have a better performance than a 6x8 would. Check these out:
